Sebastian Marx is an optometrist who graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Jena Germany. He has worked in Switzerland, the Netherlands and Germany. Since 2005 he works at the JENVIS Research Institute in Jena. He is coordinating research projects and is responsible for a clinical area. Parallel to his work, he is part time educator at the University of Applied Sciences Jena. Since 2008 he is a fellow of the International Association of Contact lens educators and the VDCO and since 2015 member of the BCLA. In 2010 he was awarded together with his research team with the Peter-Abel-Award of the VDCO for the development of new tear film assessment methods.
