This article is the first in a series that will be published by Points de Vue on the latest Essilor innovations in precise refraction and lenses. It presents the novel general approach of subjective refraction, developed with the new Essilor Vision-R 800 phoropter, which provides continuous power variations. Subsequent articles will focus on the different aspects of this new refracting method and new ophthalmic lens solutions, which will facilitate the spectacles prescription in increments of 0,01D.
